IN MATTER OF BOOKS AND RECORDS: FORMS, SUBSTANCE, FORGERIES, AND MEANINGS BEYOND THE LINES
On the Matter of Books and Records: Forms, substance, forgeries, and meanings beyond the lines es un taller internacional e interdisciplinario sobre la materialidad de los libros y documentos de la Antigüedad hasta la Edad Moderna que se desarrollará en Londres, en el Victoria & Albert Museum, el día 23 de noviembre de 2015. Está dirigido a jóvenes investigadores interesados en la cultura material de la palabra escrita, especialmente estudiantes de doctorado e investigadores postdoctorales.

Los trabajos se extenderán cronológica y geográficamente, proporcionando descripciones metodológicas y estudios de casos más específicos. A lo largo de tres sesiones, se intentará responder a diferentes preguntas, centrándose en soportes materiales, y, posteriormente, en la encuadernación y la falsificación de libros y documentos, respectivamente:
El taller está organizado conjuntamente por el AR.C.H.I.ves Project (Birkbeck, University of London), the Ligatus Research Centre (University of the Arts London) y the History of Design Programme (Royal College of Art / Victoria & Albert Museum).
